True words of wisdom

Saw this on AOL.com and couldn’t control the urge to share it with you guys. http://news.aol.com/article/bush-says-he-doubts-bible-literally-true/264531. There are some really coherent, thoughtful, and extremely eloquent words of wisdom in this article. I know it’s driving you crazy, so I’ll give you a sneak peek:

Asked about creation and evolution, Bush said: “I think you can have both. I think evolution can — you’re getting me way out of my lane here. I’m just a simple president. But it’s, I think that God created the earth, created the world; I think the creation of the world is so mysterious it requires something as large as an almighty and I don’t think it’s incompatible with the scientific proof that there is evolution.”

My favorite part is in one of the comments at the bottom of the page when someone mentions the lack of tolerance for religious people in this country…which is “totally unconstittudtional”.

That’s an incredible amount of creationists according to the poll on that website. Woah. Isn’t that even larger than the graph that PZ posted a few days ago?
