Skepticism

A Teenie Secret

That’s right folks Rhonda Byrne’s ridiculousness is back, only teenier! The “The Secret to Teen Power” will be written by Paul Harrington, producer of the DVD version of “Secret.”

According to Simon Pulse, the dude who publishes stuff, the new book will show “how teens can transform their own lives and live their dreams, by understanding and using the power they have in their hands.”

Excuse me while I giggle madly at the phrase “teens can transform their own lives and live their dreams, by understanding and using the power they have in their hands.”

Ok I’m done now.

I thought it would be a bad idea to tell you why the secret is just a bunch of new aged woo, since lots of people have covered it already. Skeptigirl has a good one and Rebecca wrote a letter to Oprah a while back.

I am not an expert on all of the teenagers in America but from what I can see, I really don’t think they will give a rat’s behind about another teen self-help book. I can, however, see parents and adults purchasing this book as a gift for teens when it comes out this fall.

Ok skeptics! What do we do about it? I personally think that we should all get together like a bunch of girl scouts and write letters to Oprah in advance. It also might be cute if we all hand write them in crayons.
