AliensSkepticism

I know I haven’t been good about posting recently, but I’m glad to say that I’ll try my hardest from now on to post on a somewhat regular basis again. In the meantime, you can also stalk me on twitter or through my alter-ego if you’re into that sort of thing.

Now for the goodies!

I happened across a news story that I feel would interest a lot of you here: Richard Dawkins will have a book out in 2011 that seeks to explain natural phenomena using science – specifically targeted at teens.

Having been a fan of Dawkins since I first read The Selfish Gene (which seems like ages ago), as you can guess, I am super excited about this. Teens are naturally curious about the world around them, however, a lot of us still seldom have the chance to be exposed to rational and scientific explanations for phenomena that society has long relegated to the realm of the supernatural. This book is one of the ways that this is slowly changing.

It sounds interesting, but not proper for “12 and upwards.” But, then again, I have a history of completely fuddling up reading levels.

Also, I’m probably just biased because it’s illustrated. I’m not so fond of picture books.
