An Evening of Physics on The Colbert Report!

For those of you who aren’t rabid Colbert junkies like myself, I’ll have you know that this past Wednesday, October 28, 2009 laid claim to an absolutely fantastic episode of The Colbert Report that everyone should see. The show fires up with a 9-minute discussion of healthcare before spending the rest of the episode discussing LHC-related goodness. And, as if Stephen joking about physics isn’t enough, Prof. Brian Cox sits in for an interview for the last third of the show.

I don’t think I’ve made such a loud fangirl squee since I saw Dr. Kaku and Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson–I can’t bring myself to shorten his name–speak back-to-back at The UP Experience. Who should I be watching? Dr. Cox or Stephen? They’re both too fantastic! How can I possibly choose?!

Watch and decide for yourself! And, while you’re at it, pick up a copy of Dr. Cox’s new book.

My favorite quote of the interview? “You’re saying sensible things! It’s going horribly wrong!”

I saw Brian Cox at TAM London.
He’s even better in person. Such a nice guy.
You can now be jealous of me 😀

@exarch: Ha! But, have you been hugged by Keith Urban? Have you conversed with Kevin Rose and Gary Vaynerchuk? Methinks not!

(This is my way of retreating into non-science areas because I am, in fact, jealous that you saw Brian Cox IRL. Haha.)

Hmm, I suppose you have me beat on name-dropping. I also have a very disappointing Kevin Bacon index.
