Awesome Sauce Music Friday! Falling Down a Spiral Staircase Edition

Hello, all you lovely Teen Skepchick readers, and happy Friday! Awesome Sauce Music Friday, that is.

This week we’re featuring an artist we’ve used before: Jonathan Coulton. But instead of a wonderfully geeky song about zombies, we’ve got a wonderfully geeky song about “that giant book that’s written inside you.” Jonathan Coulton is a former computer programmer who decided to make a go of it in music. He started the Thing a Week project, in which he wrote and recorded a song every week for a year.

You may know him from his songs “Code Monkey” and “Still Alive” (you know, that song from Portal.) But today we’re featuring his song “That Spells DNA.” It’s classic JoCo; the song is catchy and fun, even as he points out our inherent mortality. So, without further ado, here it is! Enjoy!

You can follow Jonathan Coulton on Twitter.
