Awesome Sauce Music Friday! Keynes v. Hayek Edition

Welcome to another edition of Awesome Sauce Music Friday! W00t!

Today we’re taking a step away from what we usually feature; that is, science-y music or sci-fi fan songs. The tunes we’re featuring today are about economics. Specifically, the philosophical differences that separate Keynesian economics and theories of F.A. Hayek.

Please don’t click away. It’s worth it. Trust me.

These videos are produced by EconStories, a partnership between producer/director John Papola and professor of economics at George Mason University Russ Roberts. Admittedly, it might help to know a little about economics before watching these videos, but I think that even complete n00bs can glean the basics.

I decided on these today because skepticism isn’t just about yetis and UFOs. It’s a skill that should be employed in several aspects of your life. Wherever you live, you’ve probably been effected in some way by the global recession, so it’s important to be able to question the decisions that are meant to get us out. So enjoy, and have a great weekend!
