Awesome Sauce Music Friday! Half Buried in the Seabed Edition

Last week, a couple of U.S. states took it upon themselves to respect academic freedom set science education back 150 years by debating and/or passing legislation that opens the door to teaching creationism in schools.

Head. Desk.

I don't know what else there is to say about this subject that hasn't already been said more eloquently and passionately by others. But we can always combat ignorance and idiocy through art, which brings me to this weeks' awesome sauce music selection: "Chapter 5: Shake Your Backbone."

This song is part of a project by U.K. band Being 747 called Amoeba to Zebra, which is a musical effort to explain evolution. According to the band's website, the project was inspired by the works of David Attenborough. This particular song is a fun, upbeat guitar rock tune that you'll be humming well after it's over. I am sure Sir Attenborough would approve. Enjoy, and have a great weekend!
