The Australian aspect of the Olympic seat classes story is a complete beat-up. Both teams were given the option, and the women declined it. Liz Cambage was offered a free upgrade by the airline, but declined in order to sit with the team. Lauren Jackson, a Qantas ambassador, *downgraded* so she could sit with the team.
Somehow, this is sexist, apparently. It’s absurd.
