Speak Your Mind: How to Deal

I don’t know if you’ve been paying attention, but we Skepchicks have been getting a lot of heat lately for…well, I’m not sure. Asking for effective anti-harassment policies? Having opinions that some men don’t agree with? Being feminists? All of the above, and more. Over at Skepchick, Surly Amy wrote a nice post about some of the crap my fellow Skepchick’s deal with on a regular basis, but also how to deal with all the negativity and turn it into a force for good. It’s an inspiring piece and definitely worth a read.

But I know how exhausting it can get. We all do. Being an activist can feel like a thankless job with few victories. It can be tempting to quit. Last week Kate gave her advice, but now we want to hear from you.

How do you keep sane while working to make a difference? How do you manage when you seem to hit a wall? Can you keep yourself encouraged?
