Awesome Sauce Music Friday! Roller Coaster Gamma Ray Ride Edition

Earlier this week some exciting news ripped through the astronomical community. A possible gamma ray burst was detected super close to us, in the Andromeda Galaxy. This was a big deal because it would have been the closest such event we’ve ever witnessed. I say would have because it turned out to all be a mistake. Le sigh.

But that’s not going to keep us from using the opportunity to learn a little gamma rays and the Swift Telescope (the space ‘scope that catches gamma ray bursts) through song. So this week’s song is by AstroCapella. Their website has a lot of good information to further elaborate on what their music is about. I love it. I think I’ll hang here all day.
