Is this the same as the DIY crowd and pinteresters? Are their sub-categories for this LAP thing. This might take some time to sort out.

Thanks for the article. I read it over and I had forgotten that a friend of mine was asked not ingest clove as he is on blood thinners and it can affect your ability to clot.

I am sure that the whisky would be wonderful. I like spiced liquors. I have never tried Drambuie. Here in my northern state, I like maple crown royal and get it every…[Read more]

Pretty interesting Jack. I just happen to have a cold I am getting over and my tea as I read the article and it was a loose leaf tea with cloves in it. I never thought about it in the cigarettes. Huh.

    By the way hi. πŸ™‚

    • Hi πŸ™‚ – always a pleasure, Greenstone!

For a cold, I recommend a half bottle of Drambuie, sipped slowly over a whole afternoon. By the end, your throat may still hurt, but you won’t care!

I agree that the argument of ‘not all cops’ in the face of such tragedy is absurd. It is a little like saying well it wasn’t me. The part that is so irritating is that there are those in law enforcement that just don’t get it. The jig is up, the American public is disgusted and wants better in its communities. There is a reason that their is…[Read more]

So if you put clove in your tea does would it ease a sore throat? Just interested in knowing.

    • Well, I think you might be disappointed (compared to taking a Strepsil) unless you ramp up the concentration to liver toxic levels (5-10 ml of neat oil). After all that was the point of the clove shooters (for our winter colds) and the results were not very impressive beyond the effects of the rum. drrubidium may disagree.

By the way, I’ve also…[Read more]

Buzz Parsec, I had read those articles and I had commented on them πŸ™‚ HAHA! They are good ones aren’t they. I think they are doing a good job at Grounded Parent bringing up these topics and issues.

    • Yes, I was trying to figure out how to acknowledge your comments on the other posts in my comment on this post, but it seemed to be wandering off-topic, so I pared it back. I thought you made some excellent points in your comments, but they were on other aspects of the anti-vaxx issue.

Buzz Parsec: I agree with what you are saying out child ownership. I like to think, that I don’t think of my child as being mine, like property. (I do know that I just said the words ‘my child’ and understand how that totally disagrees with the idea of freedom from ownership. It is ingrained in our very language isn’t it?) I believe this to be…[Read more]

I read the things I learned about being a sex slave in America. That article is just so heart breaking.

    • There was a recent post about the vaccine debate on Grounded Parents. In the comments, there is an argument about whether parents should have absolute authority over their children (at least be default) versus children being human beings with all the rights appertaining to that status (and not property of their parents.) This is in the context…[Read more]

Ah mrmisconception, you arrived to the conclusion that I had also come to after thinking about this today. She sums up anyone with different ideas about the movement as one dissenting voice and mocks them. So if you don’t agree with a particular point of view of the atheist movement you can be othered. She sets the scene up as a personal debate.…[Read more]
