Prop 8 = H8te

Unless you’ve been living under a rock you have seen the video “Prop 8 – The Musical.” Well, of course it has been quite controversial.

Here is a Keith Olbermann interview with Marc Shaiman, Jack Black, and John C. Reilly on MSNBC about the musical.

Also, since this video goes against “conservative” values, Bill O’Reilly must complain:

Bill OReilly

Apparently, O’Reilly doesn’t know the definition of the word bigotry. Just in case he’s reading (Hi Billy), here it is:

1.  stubborn and complete intolerance of any creed, belief, or opinion that
differs from one’s own
2.  the actions, beliefs, prejudices, etc., of a bigot

It seems pretty clear to me. Mr. O’Reilly, you are a bigot. Whether gay marriage is right or wrong doesn’t matter. By making it illegal, we’re taking away people’s civil rights. This is a constitutional issue, not a church issue.

If you are someone who feels gay marriage is wrong, then don’t do it. Don’t marry someone of your sex. It is like changing the channel when you don’t like a show on television or a song on the radio. Oh, unless you feel you should be deciding what others should do and be.

So, should gay marriage be legal? I, for one, feel that it should.

What do you think? Is there any “rational” reason why it shouldn’t be?

OF COURSE gay marriage should be legal! Why the heck not? If you love someone, you should be able to marry them.

Christians saying that they are offended by gay marriage supporters calling them bigots is like if a millionaire complained because a homeless person wants a few dollars. I hate to say it, but White male Christians STILL have the upperhand in this country and I deeply loathe this fact.

These people are just afraid of what they don’t know. The definition of “marriage” being one man and one woman is ridiculous. It should be two people…cuz that’s what we all are, isn’t it? PEOPLE!!!!!! The word “gay” wasn’t even originally meant to be “homosexual”. Words in the english language change definition and connotation all the time. What something meant 100 years ago could be different now. Gays are NOT insulting Christians, they are fighting for rights that they shouldn’t have to fight for. They’re fighting for rights that should be automatic.

I also think it was EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNFLATTERING when they didn’t let Dr. Mark speak and just shouted over him. How UNTASTEFUL and MEAN and DISGUSTING of them. These people close their eyes on purpose and refuse to see anybody else’s way. Tey are CHILDISH and BRATTY and just plain STUPID.

I could go on ranting all day, as this is an issue which I feel strongly about, but alas, if I go on any further, I might break my keyboard as I am typing so furiously!
