Cool, that means I will tell my parents, “Did you know people in average used to sleep 10 hours a day?” And, “night owls are more creative!!!” ^_^
There’s actually lots of data that teens need more sleep than other ages, and have a different circadian rhythm.
Perhaps you should compile that as a public service for High Schoolers?
😀
@bug girl
I wish someone would. 😀
Dang it! None of the nocturnal habits excuses work for me. I stay up late, get up early, and have no creativity what so ever.
my excuse is: I enjoy being grouchy….
🙂
When I was a teenager, and my “idiopathic hypersomnia” (like narcolepsy- although I wasn’t diagnosed for 10 years) kicked in, I slept from 4 am to noon most days, and I usually sacked out on the couch for a couple hours after school every day.
My dad, at the time, slept about 6 hours a day, and gave me unending grief about it, waking me up on the weekends to help around the house.
I probably fit into the “creative” category- I spend most of my time after midnight doing artsy stuff.
