Brains are powerful

Jill Bolte Taylor: TED

While I assume that most of you have already heard of TED, if you haven’t seen any, now is the time to get on that and this particular video is a good place to start. I don’t have a whole lot of commentary on it, beyond WOW THIS IS AWESOME. But I do think that as skeptics this video brings up a lot of important arguments against the idea that there is a God-created, certain world around us and gives a lot of credence to the power of our minds and our beliefs in shaping the world around us.

Happy Monday 🙂

Olivia is a giant pile of nerd who tends to freak out about linguistic prescriptivism, gender roles, and discrimination against the mentally ill. By day she writes things for the Autism Society of Minnesota, and by night she writes things everywhere else. Check out her ongoing screeds against jerkbrains at www.taikonenfea.wordpress.com
