Awesome Sauce Music Friday! Metabolizing Carbohydrates Edition

I used to want to be a doctor. Then I realized that the human body is way gross. I mean, seriously. Have you ever taken a good look inside your mouth? Ew. Even so, the body is pretty amazing, too. It’s a million parts working together to make you…you! And that’s pretty cool. So we’re using Awesome Sauce Music Friday to honor part of that brilliant machine.

Today we are featuring a song from “Weird Al” Yankovic. (Side note: How have we not featured him before?!) Weird Al is popular for his parodies of Coolio, Michael Jackson, and Nirvana, to name a few. But today we’re presenting you with a song about a perhaps under-appreciated organ. It’s called “Pancreas” from his 2006 album Straight Outta Lynwood. It’s not a direct parody, but it’s still an awesome tribute to the gland organ. Enjoy.

Before I heard it all through I was gonna say that I prefer “That’s your horoscope for today” , but Pancreas just has it all.
