Awesome Sauce Music Friday! Regulatin’ Genes Edition

It’s been a long week, eh? Don’t worry, the end is near. How do I know? Because it’s time for Awesome Sauce Music Friday!

Today’s song comes to use from a couple of rappers from Stanford University(!). It’s called “Regulatin’ Genes,” which is evidently a parody of a Jay-Z song I’ve never heard. It’s by Derrick Davis, a Stanford student, and Tom McFadden, an instructor in the Stanford human biology program. This song is an explanation of gene specialization. (Here is a non-rap summary.)

What? Just because it’s Friday doesn’t mean you can’t learn something. Go nuts…WITH SCIENCE!
