Speak Your Mind: When You Grow Up

Teen Skepchick reader, I'm jealous of you. You're young, and the world is your oyster! You can be whatever you want to be when you grow up, and that is super exciting.

I'm an old woman in my late 20s, and I became a licensed attorney almost two years ago. But if you had asked my 14 or 15 year old self, that would have been the last thing I would have wanted to do. I liked biology. I liked doing Punnett squares. I liked astronomy. I liked looking at the moon through my telescope. But somewhere along the way I took a left turn. Not a wrong turn, just one I didn't expect.

What do you want to do when you grow up? Or, if you are already grown up, are you doing what you thought you would? Did you have or are you having a hard time narrowing it down?
