Awesome Sauce Music Friday! Not a Mass of Incandescent Gas Edition

People don't like to be wrong, and it's rare that people will take the time to correct themselves. if you admire the ability to admit a mistake and recitify it – and as a skeptic, I think you do – then They Might Be Giants is the band for you.

Back in the early 1990s TMBG released a song called "Why Does the Sun Shine," which details how and why the sun shines. The song was rereleased in 2008 on their science-themed album Here Comes Science. But the latter release came with a companion song, "Why Does the Sun Really Shine," which corrects some factual inaccuracies that occur in the original tune.

How awesome is that? They could have just ignored the issue and went on with their career, but instead drew attention to it and corrected it. That is amazing.

So enjoy these two offers from They Might Be Giants. Happy Friday!
