Awesome Sauce Music Friday! I Am a Scientist Edition

I’m sure you remember the abhorrent campaign launched by the European Union called Science: It’s a Girl Thing. (I’m sorry for even mentioning it again. I’ll give you some time to retch.)

OK, that’s enough. I only bring it up because this week’s awesome sauce tune is way better song to promote girls in science. In fact, it’s from an album benefiting girls in science.

The album, Science Fair, is a compilation of songs from 18 artists singing songs with a science theme. The particular tune this week is a cover of the Guided by Voices song “I am a Scientist” by Mates of State. The video follows a brilliant young scientist who totally rocks her science fair. It’s pretty awesome. Happy Friday, and enjoy!
