Awesome Sauce Music Friday! The Best Selling Show Edition

This weekend the Curiosity rover will go through its “seven minutes of terror” to land on Mars. It’s a big deal. It’s the most scientifically advanced rover we’ve ever built. It will be lowered to the surface by a sky crane, for crying out loud! Curiosity will no doubt provide new and exciting information about the Red Planet. You can find out more about the Curiosity rover from Kate.

Since part of the mission of Curiosity is to determine if Mars ever played host to microbial life, the featured song this week seems obvious. Or maybe no so obvious since it’s a song from the 1970s. As you’re psyching yourself up for this historic day (and finding the best watch party near you), have a listen to “Life on Mars?” by David Bowie. OK, the song isn’t really about Mars, but Bowie’s hair is the same color as Mars’ oxidized surface, so that’s something. Enjoy!
