Awesome Sauce Music Friday

Awesome Sauce Music Friday! One Global Ecosystem Edition

I don’t know how you feel about this weekly post, but it’s my favorite one to write. I love going out and finding fun and geeky music and sharing it with you. (And I love when you send in your own recommendations.) This is usually fueled by a general enjoyment of music. But today’s Awesome Sauce song has the added benefit of being inspirational.

I don’t mean cheesey-inspirational, so stay put.

If you’re a long-time reader of Teen Skepchick, you’ll be familiar with Symphony of Science. The project basically autotunes scientific speeches and documentaries. But not like Cher is autotuned. It’s beautiful and touching. I routinely tear up when I listen to them, and this newest effort is no different. Featuring Bill Nye, David Attenborough, Richard Alley and Isaac Asimov, this song (entitled “Our Biggest Challenge” is all about climate change. This could be depressing, but I really felt like we can “change the world” when I came tot he end of the three minute and 48 second video.

I’ll just say one more thing before I let you watch it for yourself. Usually YouTube comments are full of fail. This one, however, is full of win:

Burn. Enjoy your Friday, everyone!
