Awesome Sauce Music Friday! Born Within a Stellar Furnace Edition
Greetings, readers of Teen Skepchick! It is Friday, which means it’s time to jam to some sweet science tunes. Are you ready for this?
We’re doing something a bit different this week. We’re not featuring a particular song. Instead we’re featuring an entire album. We’re doing this partly because there isn’t a video of any individual song and partly because the album is just generally fantastic.
Oh, I guess you might be interested in knowing what that album is.
You’re familiar with Symphony of Science, right? The people behind those autotuned bits of science have come out with their very own original science-themed album called Terra Lumina. Every song is an absolute delight and there isn’t one I wouldn’t listen to over and over again. (But my particular favorites are “If I Were a Lonely Photon” and “Ode to Pluto.”) Each song explores the wonders of the natural world, including gravity, evolution, and geology.
You can listen to the entire album online. It’s really worth it.
