Speak Your Mind: Transitions
In about six weeks, I’ll be graduating from college, and preparing to move on to life in the real world. So right now, it’s just finishing schoolwork, applying for jobs, applying for graduate programs, applying for more jobs, figuring out what I’m doing this summer, applying for even more jobs. I still can’t quite wrap my head around the concept that I won’t be coming back to my school next fall. That I’ll be, by most definitions, a “proper adult.” It will be the first time in my life that I don’t have to be in school.
I’m not a huge fan of change, and this will be the biggest one I’ve had since graduating high school. So, while it’s exciting, it’s also terrifying.
How do you deal with big transitions? Any advice for someone going through them (whether starting high school, college, or entering the “real world” for the first time? Do you want to give me a job?
