Awesome Sauce Music Friday! ‘Cause Life on Earth is Carbon-Based. It Came Here on Rocks from Outer Space Edition

Hey hey hey! Welcome back to another edition of Awesome Sauce Music Friday! Take a deep breath. Breathe in that Friday air, and get ready to jam.

First, I’d like to apologize. It’s another parody song. I know, I know! I have a problem! What can I say? It’s a weakness. (Hey, I’m open to suggestions.)

Anyhoo. The song this week is all about carbon – arguably the best known element, in my humble opinion. It’s sung to the tune of “Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend,” a song made famous by Marilyn Monroe in the 1953 movie “Gentlemen Prefer Blonds.” This version is way better, though, because it encompasses many more of carbon’s attributes, not just it’s ability to be shiny when compressed.

Happy Friday!
