Awesome Sauce Music Friday: Bach, Bach, and Also Bach on the Golden Records

The interstellar record fails a little at being a truly diverse collection of earth music.  Out of the 90 minutes or so of music, Johann Sebastian Bach is featured three times.  Yes, he’s a great composer, and the music selected is excellent. but I’m sure we could have thought of at least two other musical selections to be a little more diverse here.  We could, for example, have sought out some female composers, like Hildegard von Bingen, and been really diverse!  Too late now.  We are presenting to the extra terrestrials a Brandenburg Concerto, a partita for violin, and a prelude and fugue from the Well-Tempered Clavier.
